Do you have retail stores where I can just come in and pick up my battery?

Yes, currently we have one retail store located in Pensacola, FL. However, Battery Guyz Franchises are now available nationwide, and we are expanding rapidly across the U.S. to extend our retail locations and services.

We offer FAST, FREE delivery (2–5 business days) via FedEx to all customers. If you order before 12:00 PM (local time of delivery address) on a business day, your battery will ship same day. Orders placed after 12:00 PM or over the weekend ship the next business day.

How long will the battery last?

Our premium reconditioned batteries typically last 3–4 years on average, though some customers report up to 5 or 6 years depending on usage and vehicle type. Like all batteries, this can vary based on climate, driving habits, and maintenance.

Do you have a warranty on your batteries?

Yes! Every Battery Guyz battery includes a 1-Year Full Replacement Warranty at no extra cost.

At checkout, you also have the option to extend your warranty with a 2-Year Add-On, giving you up to years of coverage. Please note:

  • The warranty includes up to 3 total replacements.
  • In our experience, more than 2 replacements often point to alternator or electrical system issues.
  • The warranty is and only applies to the original purchaser of the battery.

How much do you charge for shipping?

Nothing at all! We ship all our batteries for FREE via FedEx - either from our corporate facility or your nearest Battery Guyz franchise. Your battery will typically arrive within 2–5 business days after placing your order.

What is the difference between a "Reconditioned Battery" and a "Used Battery"?

A used battery is simply pulled from a salvage or wrecked vehicle and recharged using a basic charger - without replacing the electrolytes or addressing internal damage. These often have heavily sulfated plates and no refurbished components.

In contrast, a Battery Guyz reconditioned battery is:

  • Fully drained of old electrolytes
  • Cleaned, tested, and repaired if needed
  • Reassembled with new high-performance electrolytes
  • Restored to a level that can even outperform original performance

It’s a full remanufacturing process - not just a surface-level recharge.

Do you ship golf cart or solar batteries?

Yes! These batteries weigh over 50 lbs, and we ship them via a freight transportation company. To get an accurate freight quote, please call our customer service team at 1-800-965-1076.

Can you recondition my battery?

We only recondition deep cycle batteries such as golf cart batteries, floor scrubbers, 4D, 8D, etc. If these are in stock, you're welcome to exchange your core for a reconditioned unit.

Note: We do not recondition automotive batteries for individuals.

What do I do if I cannot place my order online?

If you experience any issues - whether it's a FedEx delivery address error, a credit card problem, or a technical glitch on our site - just call us at 1-800-965-1076. One of our friendly Customer Service Representatives will gladly help place your order for you.

I just ordered and changed my mind; can I cancel my order before it ships?

Oops! We're so sorry — but due to our automated fulfillment system, cancellations are rarely possible once an order is placed. Orders are immediately charged, pulled from inventory, and entered into the FedEx system for same-day shipping.

If you still wish to return the order, you're welcome to send back the unopened, complete package for a refund of the purchase price. Please note this is subject to a 30% restocking fee.

I just installed my battery; can I ship back my core for the core deposit?

No, unfortunately you cannot ship the core back for the $20 deposit - return shipping typically costs three times more than the deposit itself. We recommend either visiting your nearest Battery Guyz Franchise location to receive your core refund or taking the used battery to a local scrap recycling center where you can exchange it for cash.

I did not get a confirmation; did I place my order?

When placing an order online or over the phone, you should always receive two forms of confirmation. After a successful order, a six-digit confirmation number will appear on your screen, and an email with your receipt and that number will be sent to you immediately. If you didn’t see the confirmation on your browser and haven’t received an email, please contact us right away at 1-800-965-1076 so we can verify your order.

I just received a notice from FedEx, what do I do?

FedEx notices usually mean a signature was required but no one was available, or the delivery address had an error (e.g. missing apartment number). If you requested a signature, please ensure someone is available on the expected delivery day. In most cases, FedEx will reschedule the delivery for the next business day. If there’s an address issue, FedEx may call to verify details. Note: FedEx cannot deliver to PO Boxes. For help, call FedEx at 1-800-GO-FEDEX. Still need assistance? How to choose the right battery group size and CCA for your vehicle.

How do I find my car’s battery group size?

Car batteries are sorted by group size based on your vehicle’s make, model, and engine. It determines the battery’s dimensions and terminal orientation. Always use a group size approved by your vehicle manufacturer.

Steps to find your group size:

  1. Check your old battery: Look for a label on the top or side (e.g. 24F, 34, H).
  2. Check your manual: Find it under “Specifications.”

Common group sizes:

  • Side-post: 75, 78, 79, 100
  • Top-post: H, 34, 35, 41, 42, 48, 24, 24F, 51, 58R, 65

What are Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) and why do they matter?

CCA measures your battery’s ability to start your vehicle in cold temperatures.

How to check:

  1. Look for the “CCA” label on your current battery.
  2. Check your vehicle manual for the minimum required CCA.
  3. If in a hot or cold climate, choose a battery with a slightly higher CCA for better reliability.

When will my order ship?

Orders placed before 12:00pm (local time) Monday–Friday ship same day. Orders placed after that time on Friday ship on Monday.

How long does delivery take?

2–5 business days, shipped via FedEx Ground®.

Do you refund return shipping costs?

No. Return shipping is non-refundable and may be deducted from your refund.

How do I return my product?

Follow instructions from an authorized Battery Guyz representative before returning.

Should I use tracking or insurance for returns?

Yes - for returns valued over $75, use a trackable shipping service. We cannot guarantee the return without proof.

How can I track my order?

Trying to track your package? Just log into your Battery Guyz account and head to our Order Tracker. All orders are shipped via FedEx. Once your package is scanned into the FedEx system, your tracking number will be visible in your order history.

What kind of warranty does Battery Guyz offer?

We offer a Free Replacement Warranty — not pro-rated! If your battery fails within the warranty period, we replace it at no extra cost.

Warranty tiers:

  • Silver: 90 Days (Free)
  • Gold: 12 Months ($10)
  • Platinum: 2 Years ($20)

Are all batteries rechargeable?

Yes. Every Battery Guyz battery is subject to recharge. We test and recharge units before determining warranty eligibility.

What happens if my battery stops working?

We reserve 24 hours to test and charge it to find the cause. This helps us assess if it’s a product fault or usage-related.

Will I get a refund or replacement if the battery doesn't charge?

Yes - if your battery doesn’t hold a charge after testing, we’ll issue a full refund or replacement (must show receipt).

Can I get a cash refund if I already used the battery?

No - used or installed batteries are not eligible for cash refunds.

RETURNS, REFUNDS & EXCHANGES

Our policies on returning, exchanging, and getting a refund for your battery purchase.

What is your return policy?

Returns are only accepted on the same business day the order was placed. The battery must be unused, uninstalled, in its original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

Can I return a used or installed battery?

No. Used or installed items cannot be returned.

Do you refund sale or closeout items?

Only regular-priced items are refundable. Sale and closeout items are non-refundable.

How are refunds processed?

Once approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.

What if I haven’t received my refund yet?

Check with your bank/credit card provider. If still unresolved, contact us at sales@batteryguyz.com or call 1-800-965-1076.

When can I exchange my battery?

If your battery has no charge or is under warranty, we will test it within 24 hours. If it fails, you’ll receive a replacement or refund.

How do I request an exchange?

Email sales@batteryguyz.com or call 1-800-965-1076 to begin the process.

I just received my battery, but I don’t need it anymore. Can I return it?

Yes! You can return any unopened shipping box within 2 business days of receiving your order. You’ll be responsible for return shipping, and a 30% restocking fee will apply.

Important: We cannot accept returns of opened shipping boxes.

To process a return, you must obtain an RMA# from Customer Service by calling 1-800-965-1076. Write this RMA# clearly on the outside of the return package.
